Scord
Competitive gaming platform awarding premium prizes and experiences

Objective
SCORD is a competitive mobile gaming platform that transforms familiar App Store games into skill-based contests for premium prizes and experiences. Players use credits to compete for the highest score within a set timeframe, with opportunities ranging from travel and entertainment to luxury products and exclusive experiences. Free daily credits provide an accessible entry point, while additional credits and unlimited-play subscriptions support the platform’s freemium model.
The goal was to create an experience that feels as exciting as the prizes themselves while making competitive gaming simple and approachable. Built exclusively for Apple devices, the product pairs familiar mobile games with a gesture-driven interface, streamlined contest flows, and a visual system designed around discovery, competition, and the thrill of winning.

01 / PRODUCT STRATEGY
SCORD began with a strong premise: take the simple mobile games people already play and give them something bigger to play for. Working closely with the founders to shape their vision, I developed the product around short, skill-based competitions where the highest score wins, removing the complex tournament structures, steep learning curves, and repetitive wagering common to traditional competitive gaming platforms. The experience was structured around familiar games, timed contests, clear prize tiers, and a credit-based model that gives users opportunities to play for free or subscribe for unlimited attempts.
02 / PLATFORM ECOSYSTEM
Rather than building and maintaining a separate library of games, we positioned SCORD as an Apple-exclusive platform powered by existing games from the App Store. This gives players access to familiar, high-quality games while creating a mutually beneficial ecosystem: developers gain visibility, Apple participates in revenue from credits and subscriptions, and SCORD gains credibility and a stronger foundation for partnerships with brands offering premium prizes and experiences.
03 / GESTURE-DRIVEN EXPERIENCE
The interaction model was designed to feel native to mobile gaming rather than like a traditional competition platform. Gesture-based navigation allows users to move naturally between categories, contests, game details, rankings, and their profile, while keeping primary actions immediate and easy to understand. Contest information is progressively revealed so users can quickly discover what they can win, understand what it takes to compete, and get into a game without navigating through unnecessary screens.
04 / BRAND & VISUAL SYSTEM
I developed SCORD’s identity and interface as one connected system built around energy, competition, and anticipation. Bold gradients, dimensional prize imagery, and celebratory moments create a distinctive identity that moves away from traditional esports aesthetics. Reusable components bring consistency across contests, rankings, game information, and winner states while allowing the experience to scale across new games and prizes.
